Carpathia Credit Union is actively seeking an experienced Commercial Account Manager (CAM) to join our team. The CAM is responsible for promoting, developing and managing the credit portfolios of our Commercial members.  

Role Overview:
Reporting to the Director, Commercial Services, the Commercial Account Manager is responsible for providing lending services to finance commercial/small business activity to current members/associates and potential members/associates; administer and control assigned portion of commercial/small business loan portfolio; ensure all loan activities are in compliance with relevant provincial legislation, regulations, and the credit union’s lending policies and procedures.

In the role of Commercial Account Manager, you will:
  • Identify sales and referral opportunities and actively promote Carpathia products and services that might better meet the member needs.
  • Prepare credit applications with supporting analysis for approval,
  • Assess credit worthiness through analysis of financial information including financial statements, cash flow, historical performance or projections, profitability and personal net worth of shareholders,
  • Credit adjudication within assigned limits,
  • Maintain a systematic collection procedure for the early detection of delinquent accounts and ensure loss and delinquency targets are met,
  • Conduct annual reviews of assigned portfolio.

What this role requires of you:
  • A degree in business, finance or related field and minimum 3 years of commercial lending experience in a Canadian financial institution. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Results oriented self-starter who works effectively independently and as part of a team.
  • Innovative thinker, open to new ideas, processes and applications.
